You find a branding agency online. The philosophy speaks to you. The founder's experience checks out. The pricing tiers fit your budget.
Then you scroll the whole site and notice something missing. There isn't one photo. Not of the founder, whose name is the name of the business. Not of a team. Not even a stock image.
Your interest drops. You start asking questions you didn't expect to ask. Is this a real person? Is this business run by AI? Should I trust this company with my brand?
You close the tab and move on to the next option.
Why a face matters online
When you look for help, you look for a person you trust. A name and a list of credentials tell you what someone does. A photo tells you who you'll be working with.
With so much online content now written by AI, people look for signs that a real person is on the other side of the screen. Your face is the clearest sign there is.
A portrait on your homepage and About page answers the first question on a prospect's mind before they reach out: Who am I talking to?
Why business owners hold off
If you haven't added your photo yet, you have a reason. Maybe one of these sounds familiar:
You don't love photos of yourself.
You've been waiting for the right time.
You want your work to speak for itself.
Each of these makes sense. And your work does speak for itself, once someone trusts you enough to look at it.
What changes when you show up
When your photo appears on your website, your LinkedIn profile and your email signature, prospects know who they are contacting before they write to you. The first conversation starts with recognition instead of doubt.
My job is to make that photo easy for you. In my studio, I coach you through every expression so you leave with images that show you at your most confident,, approachable and ready to work with clients. No guessing. No stiff posing.
