Personal Brand Photography
Personal branding photography for East Bay and Tri-Valley founders, executives and speakers who want a visual presence as strong as their work.
A headshot tells people who you are. A personal brand image library tells them what you do, how you think and why they should pay attention.
There is a specific moment when a professional realizes a headshot is no longer enough. A book is coming out. A speaking career is gaining momentum. A business rebrand is underway. A new venture is launching. The website needs images that go beyond a portrait, images that tell a complete story across every platform where your reputation lives.
That is the client this session was built for.
What is at stake
Before anyone reads your bio or hears you speak, they have formed an impression from your photo. For someone who has built real expertise, one quick headshot rarely tells the full story. A personal branding session gives you a complete set of images that show who you are and what you stand for, in every place your audience meets you.
Why work with me
I have photographed professionals for 26 years, first in New York and Connecticut and now from my studio in downtown Pleasanton. I am a published author on personal branding, and an Associate of Peter Hurley. My work has earned more than 500 five-star reviews.
That background changes how a session runs. We spend real time on strategy before the camera comes out, so your images do a job rather than fill a frame.
What personal branding photography is
A headshot is one portrait, usually head and shoulders, made for a single use such as LinkedIn or a company bio.
Personal branding photography is a full image library. It pairs portraits with lifestyle and on-location images that show how you work, what you offer and the personality behind it. You leave with a cohesive set you use across your website, social media, speaking materials, press and marketing.
More on the difference between a headshot and a personal branding session
Who This Session Is For
Luxury real estate professionals whose name and reputation drive every transaction they close. In the Tri-Valley and East Bay markets, the top-producing agents are personal brands as much as they are salespeople. Your images work across your personal website, your listing presentations, your social media, your direct mail campaigns and every platform where a buyer or seller decides whether to call you. A single headshot does not cover that ground. A complete brand image library does.
Authors and thought leaders preparing for a book launch, a media tour or a publishing submission that requires a complete visual identity, not just a headshot but a set of images that reflects the full scope of what you have written and who you are as its author.
Speakers and educators building a visible platform. Conference organizers, event producers and meeting planners evaluate speaker images before they read a bio. Sessions produce images that position you as the credible, compelling presenter your audiences already know you to be.
Entrepreneurs and business owners whose brand is inseparable from the person behind it. Your website, your LinkedIn, your press features and your marketing materials all need images that tell a cohesive story. Sessions produce that library in a single focused day.
Executives in transition who are building a personal presence beyond their current role, board work, advisory relationships, consulting or a new venture that requires a distinct visual identity separate from their corporate affiliation.
Coaches and consultants whose entire business runs on personal credibility. Your prospective clients are evaluating you before they ever make contact. The images on your website and LinkedIn are doing that evaluation work. Sessions are designed to make sure those images reflect the full depth of your expertise.
How it works
1. We plan. Before your session we talk through your brand, your audience and where the images will live, so every frame has a purpose.
2. We photograph. In the studio or on location, I direct you through each step. You do not need any experience in front of a camera. That part is my job.
3. You receive your library. A curated set of finished images, ready to use everywhere your audience finds you.

Where is your studio, and do you travel? My studio is in downtown Pleasanton, off 680 and about 40 minutes from San Francisco. I also photograph on location across the Tri-Valley and East Bay.

“I hired Nina to do an entire personal branding photoshoot. She did an amazing job! Not only were her photos an incredible quality, they totally fit my brand. She even did the work to do the research for locations for the shoot. She is VERY good at making someone comfortable on camera. I would highly recommend!”
— Clay M.“I recently had the pleasure of working with Nina for a headshot photo session. Nina is vibrantly kind, funny, professional and most skilled in her profession. She made me feel comfortable which made the session light and fun, allowing me to be myself which she was able to translate into my photos. These photos are STUNNING!!
I left my session feeling beautiful, confident and looking forward to the branding/marketing stage of my new career.”
