Health & Wellness Professional Headshot Portraits

Everyone benefits from having a great portrait - no matter what industry you are in. We are in a visual world thanks to every device having the capability of taking a photograph. However, just because your phone or tablet takes a good photo doesn't mean that your professional portrait should be taken with it. No matter what industry you are in, you should have a great headshot. I'm sure you've heard it before but first impressions count. I can't gush enough about this beautiful woman. I felt such a sense of calm in her presence and I really love how her portraits turned out.

Laughter Has No Age | San Ramon Portraits

This couple is very special to me. Whenever we are together we just laugh. Non stop. Seriously. My sides hurt for at least 24 hours. I don't think I've ever met a family that laughs so much. Laughter is the best medicine you know! I have so many to edit but couldn't resist sharing this one favorite of mine for now.

Architectural History Married with Modern Living

I love history. Funny, I didn't love it back when I was in school. Probably because it was never presented to me with interesting photographs..just names and dates.

Recently I photographed a historic home from the 1800's which has truly preserved the best part of history while making it suitable (and enviable) for modern family living. All the work has been done by Design Builders as well as the beautiful interior design by the homeowner made this one of the more beautiful projects I've ever photographed.

Working Moms are Heroes | Family Photo Sessions

As a working Mom, I get it. We want to cherish every single moment with our kids. The good and the bad. Sometimes I have to remind myself during the bad. But all in all, our families are a big priority in our lives. I'll say it: Moms who work are super women! Especially the many that travel for work and/or have a long commute. They are role models for their children, passing along their strengths, motivation and positive work ethic. I'm a big fan of this Mom. We first met when she hired me to photograph her headshot portrait. I've since photographed her family for the past few years. The older brother is maturing before my eyes and the twins are the happiest children I've ever come across -always laughing!

Family Portrait Photographer

It's been a hectic past couple of weeks. I had the joy of photographing a special wedding. And on top of all that my parents were visiting with me for a couple of weeks to celebrate my Mom's 80th birthday. My family and I are die hard foodies so needless to say I feel like I need a cleanse or something.

Here is a special family that came to me from the Villa Maria school auction. I love donating to special schools and charities and this was no exception. I'm surprised when I come across a family that has NEVER had a family portrait done before. This makes me sad, yet honored that I'm their first. I really try to take the time to get to know the parents and the kids before jumping right into it. By the end of our time together I feel like I've earned their trust and am always excited to start editing their session images. Below are just a few favorites.

Amy + Jeff Wedding Highlights Slideshow

They have enough kids to be a modern day brady bunch. They love to laugh together. Travel together. Simply BE together. They’ve known each other since the 8th and 9th grades. On their wedding day, they were surrounded by friends and family who traveled from near and far to celebrate their love for one another.

Amy sat in the limo, so calmly, as we awaited Jeff’s arrival for their “first look” portraits at Carl Shurz Park on the upper east side of New York City. The weather was perfect. Not too hot, not too cool, with a beautiful clear sky.

Jeff arrived and he and I walked into the park to a quiet spot. As Amy approached, Jeff appeared very calm. Yet I had butterflies. I asked him, are you nervous? He said no. But I wasn't convinced. Amy was glowing. So happy. On this special day they knew they could overcome any obstacle, knowing that their faith and one another is all they would ever need.

Amy and Jeff, I feel blessed that I’ve gotten to know you and your families and the true honor to document your wedding. I wish you the very best as you share your life together!

tear up everytime I've watched this slideshow from Amy + Jeff's wedding featuring the highlights of their special day. Enjoy!

MODERN Mens Headshots

Let's face it - I KNOW that most people aren't crazy about having their portraits taken. But it's a real necessity in business in 2015. Here's some fantastic headshots of a male client that doesn't like his photo taken - can you tell? I don't think so! It helps that I talk nonstop and my self deprecating humor comes in handy.

Communion Portraits

Our best laid plans for doing this session weeks after the actual First Communion were sidelined when we arrived at the church and it was closed! Nevertheless, we were planning on two locations - one being the beautiful Rockefeller Preserve in Tarrytown New York. So off we went. I love to create non-traditional portraits for a very traditional milestone. Here are just a few favorites from the day. (I especially love the last two - there's always one misunderstood sibling in a family of 4.)

Funny sibling photos

The family dynamics between all six kids at this session really made my heart so happy. They all have some hilarious interactions with one another. I had to post just one before I launch the full gallery to my client tomorrow.
