Why I Photograph People

I ask every client the same question before we ever pick up a camera: What do you want people to feel when they see your photo?

That question changed the way I work. And honestly, it changed the way I think about photography altogether.

My name is Nina Pomeroy. I've been photographing professionals, executives and entrepreneurs in the Tri-Valley since 2000, and I still believe the most important part of any session happens before the shutter clicks.

It's the conversation. The context. Understanding what you do, who you serve and how you want to show up for them.

A headshot is not just a photo. It's a first impression that works without you in the room. For the executives, attorneys, physicians and business owners I photograph in my Pleasanton studio, that matters enormously.

Twenty-six years in, I'm still driven by the same thing: helping people be seen the way they actually are. Confident. Credible. Approachable. Real.

If you're ready to update your professional image, I'd love to hear your story first.
