There's still time to get in on our special fundraising efforts this month.
All Headshot and Personal Branding sessions booked during the month of October will have 10% of all proceeds donateed to The Love of Cups as part of Breast Cancer Awareness Month. Your session doesn't have to take place during the month of October simply reserve your session before the end of October.
Thank you to the many many people who have participated in this near and dear fundraiser. As a breast cancer survivor myself, I am truly thankful for your generosity.
7 Ways to Use Your Headshot
If you're an entrepreneur you've heard of the "Marketing Rule of 7."
"The rule of 7" is a marketing principle that states that your prospects need to come across your offer at least 7 times before they really notice your offer and start to take action. This principal has deep roots in psychology, and its effectiveness has long been observed through a psychological phenomenon called the “familiarity principle.” The more people are exposed to something, the more likely they are to take note of it and develop a preference for it.
Studies show that through constant exposure to something, not only will we start to take note of it but we just might actually like it more. We tend to like things that are familiar to us, and one of the best ways to induce familiarity, subconsciously, is through repetition.
I could go on more about this marketing principal but today I'm going to share 7 places you can utilize that great new headshot portrait:
Social Media Profiles: Duh. Your photo should be consistent across your Linkedin, Facebook, Google Plus and Instagram profiles. By using the same photo across the board you are increasing memorability and recognition.
Email Signature: I use WiseStamp for a customized email signature. Once you set it up you can use it across all your devices.
Website "About Me" Page: This might be the first place a potential client "sees" you. As you may know from Facebook that the most often seen posts are those with an accompanying photo.
Website "Contact Me" Page: You can use the same photo but ideally you should have a few options to use for different types of marketing.
Business Card: We all collect business cards at networking events and conferences but you'll be sure to remember the ones that have a person's photo on it. It's a great way to stay top of mind.
Facebook Groups: Often when you join a Facebook Group you make a little introduction about yourself. Be sure to post your photo along with the introduction. Also, when posting news or an asking for a tip, consider adding your headshot. Your post will less likely get lost and will be associated with your content.
Newsletter: You are already in your client's inbox, now make a more personal connection with your readers by including a photo. This puts a face to the voice of your newsletter's message.
Personal Branding Photos
This intuitive coach and bestselling author is one of the kindest people I know. We had a personal branding session where we created a variety of images for her business.
Mini Sessions for the Family
Family portrait mini sessions offer a fantastic way to capture cherished memories without the time commitment of a full photoshoot. These sessions provide a focused opportunity to update your family portraits, perfect for holiday cards, gifts, or simply preserving a moment in time. With a shorter duration, everyone stays engaged, especially little ones, resulting in natural and genuine smiles. Plus, the streamlined process and pre-selected packages often make mini sessions more budget-friendly, allowing you to get professional-quality images without breaking the bank. Ultimately, a family portrait mini session is an efficient and enjoyable way to create lasting keepsakes that you'll treasure for years to come.
On-Site Corporate Headshots for Groups
Many have asked if I only work outdoors and the answer is a big resounding NO! For companies requiring multiple employees to have consistent looking headshots, I can bring my studio to you.
Consistency is KEY. It's important that if you are using these headshots on your corporate website that they all look similar - in the sense of background and lighting. I don't mean that everyone has to dress the same- LOL!
Look at your competition. How are they presenting themselves online? Studio portraits do NOT have to be stiff and boring. We will work together to determine the look and feel that best suits your company culture.
There are many uses for these headshots. Website, social media, business cards, advertising for speaking engagements, etc.
Father's Day Gift
So what do you REALLY think of your dad's or husband's headshot? Is it 10 years old when he had hair (sorry - not sorry!) Or is it a snapshot of him out playing golf with his buddies? A gift certificate for a headshot session is creative, useful and memorable. It’s just the type of thing we have a hard time doing for ourselves, yet it adds so much value to one’s business, personal life, social media, etc. After all, doesn't everyone need a nice headshot!
We can email you the customized Gift Certificate to print out or we can mail it to you. The session can be scheduled anytime up to 8 months afterward when it's most convenient for them.
Female Headshot
So many people are gearing up for the new year and having updated headshot portraits taken. Headshots are not just for actors - they are for EVERYONE who has a social media profile that is interested in putting their best image forward. You know you have milliseconds to make a first impression on the internet, right?
San Ramon Photographer
Since arriving at my new home, I have hit the ground running. Re-starting my photography business after 16 years of being established in the New York and Connecticut area is not without it's challenges. However, I have been welcomed by some great fellow small business owners which brought me to the decision to join my local San Ramon Chamber of Commerce. One person in particular stood out to me during a business mixer who later honored me with the pleasure to photograph him and his partner. They were heading out to a special awards dinner in which he was receiving a great honor. But first, he wanted to remember the special occasion.
