Wedding Celebration Wes+Amy
I've known Amy professionally for a few years so when she asked me to photograph her wedding celebration it was a definite yes! The elegant New York themed party took place at the Harvard Club in midtown Manhattan. This location is a very old traditional New York institution with history at every turn. It featured a grand staircase filled with paintings of famous people who have attended Harvard and a Grand Hall where the ceilings went up to the sky with crystal chandeliers. The room was filled with friends and family that were thrilled to celebration with this special couple.
TESTIMONIAL: Female Author Headshot Portrait
There are so many amazing talented women out there and I've been fortunate enough to meet them right in my studio. This author required a headshot for her future book. In addition, she also required a headshot for business as well. Because don't we all have multiple talents?! We were able to create many distinct looks for each of her requirements.
Small Weddings in the Bay Area
When two people who have known each other get married - it's always such a special day. It was a gorgeous sunny and mild day in February. That even elevated everyone's mood even more. With family visiting from all over the country, Jenny and Jeff were married at the Wilton Presbyterian Church.
I just love photographing small weddings. There was something so special and intimate about this celebration that I couldn't help but smile all afternoon long.

Motivational Women
With all my work over the years, I have met some incredibly inspirational women. Megan Searfoss is no exception. We were first introduced through my husband who knew her through various local triathlons. I was frustrated with my middle age body not looking the way I'd like so I signed up for her training series to prepare for the annual Mother's Day Run Like a Mother 5K. (Megan is the founder of Run Like a Mother.)
Now those of you who don't run, I hear you.... I'd rather be enjoying breakfast in bed in my pajamas on Mother's Day morning than running a 5K with a bunch of other women. I've never met a chocolate covered strawberry or mimosa that I didn't like. I was never a runner. I hated running. Truthfully, I never enjoyed exercising. Then something strange happened. I was hooked. Was it the endorphins? The changes I saw in my body? The fact that overcame an obstacle that I never thought possible? Yes, yes and yes. Megan's book See Mom Run: Every Mother's Guide to Getting Fit and Running Her First 5K is a must read - even if you still haven't convinced yourself that this is something you want to do. Find a friend to share your initial lapse of sanity with and sign up for this 5K. You'll still enjoy those chocolates and mimosas and everything else but when you see your family waiting for you at the finish line it will change how your kids and spouse look at you and you'll feel proud. I promise.
So where was I going with this post? Oh yes, Megan! She asked for a new headshot portrait and of course, I knew it would be fantastic. She's gorgeous and her personality shows through in all her images. See for yourself!
Model Call for Grandparent Grandchild MY FIRST BEST FRIEND SESSION Studio Portraits
We are excited to announce our third year of My First Best Friend sessions - the photographic study of the relationship between a grandparent and a grandchild.
Over the past two years, we've had 4 exhibits showing some amazing pairs of grandparents and grandchildren. This project means so much to me.
These sessions can be for multiple grandchildren with their grandmother and grandfather, however, we will be photographing just pairs in the studio. To really capture the one-on-one dynamic between the two. Each session is 30 minutes long, so if you have more than 2 pairs, we recommend booking 2 back-to-back sessions. Contact the studio to scheduling assistance.
Any questions? Don't hesitate to contact the studio. We'd love to hear from you!
Some fun Fall portraits
We are in major catch-up mode with sharing all the wonderful families we photographed this past Fall. I love these two kids. As siblings go, they have a great relationship. Lots of teasing and laughing. On the beach at sunset is one of my favorite places to photograph in Connecticut. In the Fall you never know what the weather will be. I’ve driven to the beach only to discover many many clouds, or high winds, or freezing temperatures. But we were so so lucky! We were able to enjoy a beautiful warm sunset - uncommon for November!
