Getting a home ready for professional photos

Like online dating, photos of a home for sale can tell a thousand words. Do you want it to say: it's tired but just needs love, someone died in here or please- just take it off my hands. No. I'm pretty sure you want it to say - WOW I want to live there!

Real estate photography's purpose is to show the layout and condition of the home. It differs from photography that an architect or an interior designer would require. The emphasis is to SELL the home. Doing some preparation in advance of the photographer's arrival will ensure the best possible presentation to potential buyers. Showing the home, and not it's owner's belongings is the ultimate goal in professional photos.

Take a look at this quick video on how you can best prepare for your photo shoot with a professional photographer when selling your home.

White and Bright Family Kitchen

I love when the family pet wants to participate in the photo shoot. He was so soft and lovable..and very curious! This white and bright expansion kitchen remodel was done by Design Builders and Remodeling Inc. The fact that it had two islands, one for prep and another for dining was a real show stopper. Off the kitchen was more custom millwork around the family room's tv. Great for day to day family living.
