The number one question we get asked is what to wear. And it is important when planning your special session with us. Here are some tips:
- Don’t be afraid of color. Pops of bright color can real add a lot of flavor to your shoot. Especially if you really want to capture a fun casual feel to your portraits.
- One of the things we can do is style out your session including all the details when we meet for your pre-session consultation. We have an in-house stylist that we can put you in contact with that will even do your personal shopping FOR you should you wish for easy convenience.
- Plan ahead your clothing and get some family members involved. Willing family members can really add to the enthusiasm and fun in planning your session. Go online and browse some of our favorite sites listed below or go out shopping together.
- Easy elegance can be achieved in choosing two complimentary colors. For example: navy and light blue, purple and gray, green and navy, yellow and medium blue.
- Accessories such as hats, scarves, headbands even rain boots can really add some distinct flavor to your session and bring to life children’s expressions.
- Don’t forget shoes. Feet may be in your photographs so don’t forget to consider what are on everyone’s feet. Flip flops, rain boots, keds, whatever you decide, make sure they are relatively clean. You don’t want to look at an image and say I LOVE IT, but I can’t believe I let him wear those ratty sneakers.
