Well my “baby” just finished third grade and we just had her 9 year “well visit.” Honestly, it feels like she’s going to wake up one morning and be taller than me, which I know WILL happen some day in the future being I’m all of 5’2″. She’s my buddy and we usually have a great time together. I’m amazed how smart she is, intuitive and especially how compassionate she can be. Now, I’m not one of those mothers that think their child is perfect, after all, we are coming off a 7 day hiatus from all electronic gadgets including tv as a result of some bad behavior.
My biggest hope for her birthday weekend is that she’ll cooperate for me so I can get some new portraits of her. I may need to call in some backup from some of my dear photographer friends as you all know, our kids are much better for someone else when it comes to having their photograph taken.
