Some of my earliest memories are going to the library with my Mom after school. As a Mom, now I get to share the same joy with my daughter. She too has the same love of books and reading as I did and still do.

I have been fortunate to work with the fabulous people at the Ridgefield Public Library photographing the library as well as having the honor of having a Photography Show and even taught a photography seminar there. It’s no secret that this library is well loved but could use some major improvements to adapt to today’s growing needs.

When I learned of the New Ridgefield Library efforts, I felt a strong conviction to do something to contribute to this important project. I thought a Cutest Kid Contest would allow me the opportunity to give back to the community, the library and share my love of the library with future generations; not to mention have a fun filled day meeting all the cute kids of Ridgefield.

This event is sure to sell out fast, so please sign up. You don’t necessarily have to be a Ridgefield resident to participate.

(If you haven’t seen the architect’s rendering of the new library, I highly suggest you check it out. You will be just as excited as I am.)

How to enter:
Entry fee is $20 PER child (ages newborn to 6 years old) and includes a free 5×7 portrait.

Registration begins June 1st. Register early by calling Laureen Bubniak at 203.438.2282 x1029 …contest limited to 30 participants.

Bring your children to the Dayton Room at the Ridgefield Library on Saturday June 11th to have his/her photo taken by professional photographer Nina Pomeroy. Photos will be displayed online and at the Library.

How to vote:
Voting takes place online and at the Library beginning June 27 and ending on July 16 at $1 per vote ($10.00 = 10 votes).

How to win:
Tell everyone to vote for your Cutest Kid! The Winner will be announced July 22 on the website and at a fun gathering at the Library!
